  • CRMOD Match Statistics

    Hey all,

Been gone for a little while - more on that at another time. No biggie, I'll be back.

In the meantime, could someone who DM's a lot explain something to me about the autostats feature? I've been going through the stats and have seen an anomaly. Occasionally, the individual frag stats do NOT match the total team frags. Here's an example:

    --
    The match is over
The Blue team has 122 frags
The Yellow team has 70 frags
    The Blue team has won

    - CRMod Match Statistics -

    name | frags | enemies | self | teammates | killed
    -----------------+-------+---------+------+-----------+--------
    grafhb0t v.01 | 36 | 40 | 2 | 2 | 25
    baby enoch | 34 | 38 | 3 | 1 | 27
    <CROW>PH03N1X | 9 | 10 | 0 | 1 | 10
    shok | 30 | 35 | 1 | 4 | 24
    monoz | 9 | 13 | 3 | 1 | 45
    lenny | 29 | 39 | 4 | 6 | 22

This is only an excerpt, but as you can see:
    122 + 70 = 192 total frags

    36+34+9+30+9+29 = 147

    147 != 192

Is this a bug in the CRMOD stats output? Under what circumstances can this happen? The only thing I can think of is if one player substitutes another, the frags from the first player are still recorded in the total score, yet at the end of the match, the second player's frag stats are output.

Let me know what circumstances can lead to this occurrence.

    Thanks!

    Tremor!

I was wondering if you were still around. I hope you're able to take part in pickup games soon!

Probably related to Leno's automatic 45-frag handicap.

      Yeah, or else RQ's.

Do you have multiple occurrences of this?
        Was the match paused?

            CD: Thanks for missing me!
R00k: There are a couple of occurences, but I haven't had a chance to go through line by line before the statistics output.
            I simply did: cat screenlog.0 | grep -A 90 "The match is over" >> /home/username/sample_log

I'll go through the rest to see if I can find anything in particular - in the meantime, if someone has a definitive answer, lemme know!

Hmm. Ok I think I found it:

Retrocade =\ was gibbed by lenny's rocket
[ccc]EvilK left the game with 2 frags
              Match paused
              Time remaining: 1:39
The Blue team has 110 frags
The Yellow team has 69 frags
              Clanring autopause activated
              Client [ccc]EvilK removed
              baby enoch: rwq
              baby enoch: q
              Match restarts in T minus
              5
              4
              3
              monoz: kimp?
              2
              1
              Match unpaused
              Time remaining: 1:39
The Blue team has 110 frags
The Yellow team has 69 frags
              The Yellow team has control

This match was originally a 4v4. As you can see, Retro was playing in the match, EvilK left with 2 frags. Neither of them appear in the stats output which means that Retro was probably on the opposing team of EvilK. EvilK left the game with 2 frags, but Retro probably just did a notready, which doesn't output in the log. Unfortunately, both Retro and EvilK's frags are held in the game's team score tally. ARGH!

              Muller/R00k, you called it.

I sometimes forget the ghost code and rejoin as well screwing up the totals.

In ClanRing the stats are persistent, it keeps tally of the TEAM score and players score. If someone leave and another steps in, the person who left, his score still applies to the team total. It will not be in the end stats as whomever. Not really a BUG but something that leaves you scratchin your head. I looked through the code, and the realtime stats seem concurrent, but if frags were unaccounted for it would point to someone who left, and rejoined without using their ghost code.
