win 7 poll rate

i never found a prog to change poll rate in win 7, i use usbrate changer thinga ma chig for xp, to 500z, depending if im using an old optical mouse,

these days the newer laser mice have higher rates built in, but i dont even like laser mice too much, even though i have the deathadder and g500,

i used to use the logitech mx518 (old version) its getting old and grimy,

so wondering for those who use win 7, what your mouse is,

I think this is the same as raw input.
DirectQ and Qrack, maybe even DP have raw input which gives 1:1 mouse ratio.

I removed raw input from recent versions of DirectQ as it was causing problems with mouse acceleration, and input went all wonky when vsync was on. DirectInput still seems the best way of getting reliable mouse input without acceleration under Windows 7.

I know that MS advise not to use DirectInput anymore, and I know that the advice is to use raw input on a separate thread, but that's exactly what DirectInput will do for you anyway, so why bother writing the code yourself when there's already a library that will handle it for you?
