Mine's from the ole school Metallica haydays, "Damage Incorporated" from the "Master of Puppets" CD. I just thought the lyrics, song and name were just purrrfect for deathmatch I used it from Doom thru Q3A, then I just stopped PC gaming until I joined here recently.

Mine is not that interesting, there is a character on a game called Guilty Gear XX named Kliff, and I just added "ington" at the end because I thought it was fun to say, the end.

I've used it for years, and never tried to sign up and had that name taken.

I used to use "Darklink" a lot as a screen name because I am a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, but I wanted something more original.

Hmm only about 2 of those names i recognize, i do recall all of those servers though most are ctf/ffa other then erols. I guess i left quake too soon 2002 or just dont have a good memory.

My nickname was based on that actress Seven of Nine.
I did not think too much if she is female or male.
The name itself is neutral and sounds perfect for me.
After years it simply become "Seven".
It is shorter and I love the sound of it.

Yeah I read too much into stuff. It is my curse. On a side note though (just so you know), you are my QC hero and the #1 reason I ever started to learn the language to begin with. I have read everything you have ever written - including the entire SMC source. So, whatever crazy ideas and "mysteries" (lol) that I pick out of something (like your post above) - I just want you to know that I have very high respect for you.
