  • AOP blud boss

i was playing Abyss of pandemonium, the bastard quake expansion, earlier, and i finished the first part. now, boss monsters in quake are common, but UNIQUE boss mosnsters are a whole other story. as such, i was pleasantly surprised to face the rotten star-shaped monstrosity known as blud:

(skip to 5:05 for the good stuff.)

i know this no big discovery to sp vets, but its still nice to run into this kinda thing, as apposed to filling a room with shambies/vores for a boss battle.

Ha! I remember the first time I came across this beastie. I filled my pants! It really brought a Lovecraftian feel with it. AoP needs more love - it's genuinely spooky.
I got the phone call at 4 a.m.

If you love AoP so much, it's got a modern makeover that will have your jaw on the floor the whole game. Here's the front page thread: http://quakeone.com/news/site-news/1...-released.html

Oh, I'll have to give it a try sometime soon. Not right away though as I've just finished playing through AoP twice this week (trying it out in recent Mark V builds)!

        It does look good though.
