Reason why quake is dead

Takes 20 mins to play a 10 minute match(ca, DM it takes 40 minutes to get a 20 minute game going). Mark gay's up the fucking game BIG time, I'd rather play with kimp then him,(YES, hes that bad). It used to be funny when mark would be mark,, but now it's just annoying. Playing CA reminds me of runequake, NOTHING BUT SPAM! So this I guess will be my last time playing quake. I'm deleting quake and will never install it again. Good game everyone. For those that say I'll be back, I'll bet you $20,000(yes, I do have the money) that I will never be back. It was fun playing quake for what,, 12 years? Now it's time to go back to enjoying Life

Quake is "dead" simply because it's 16yrs old. Fact that you can STILL find servers to play on is amazing due to its age. Game is still quite alive. You just cannot expect to be able to boot the game up and instantly be in a match with players - low population.

Indeed OoPpEe it speaks for itself it is the most popular game ever.
How many other games still active after that long? Only BZflag comes to mind.

well, i deleted quake. @phenom, When i was actively playing, I'd be waiting around for people to play.. and when they did,, well, it would take 20 minutes for them to "pick a color".

When there's not a lot of people playing,, Why would you constantly GAY UP games? If only 1 person wants to do 3 teams,, well, then they can find a different server, but no, they just fuck games up.. ;/

I have only played the SP expansion Shrak, I still have all the other SP expansions waiting, just don't have time to commit to anything much more then a quick game every now or then. Especially now.

Well seven, there are two great fractions in quake. Single player and multiplayer. Seldom one person likes both, but mostly they are one fraction or the other.
