ProQuake Launcher Final

ProQuake Launcher Final

Download: ProQuake Launcher EZ Installer - 4.9 MB

Download: ProQuake Launcher 7-Zip - 5.1 MB

The 7-Zip version is a multi-folder zip for advanced users, less experienced users should use the EZ Installer.

Features:

- Built-In Quake Name Maker
- Seamless integration with supplied QView server browser (no setup at all).
- Support for setting every major command line option.
- Powerful additional in-game functionality:

help2, demolist, maplist, +superzoom, +quickgrenade, +quickrocket, +quickshot, +quickshaft, bestsafeweapon, teamloc, teampack, teamenemy (more details below).

- Ability to auto-use the -ip parameter, for the few users that need that.
- Diagnostics screen displaying ip addresses, your video card + mode and memory.
- Auto-converts .dem -> .dz and all tga screenshots are converted to .jpg, breaking the 100 screenshot limit.
- Easily view your config, open screenshots folder and open demos folder.
- Automatically play .dem or .dz files anywhere, including the internet, by clicking on them.

For newbies: you have +rocketjump available for those that can't rocketjump.

Super zoom is a special zoom that won't mess up your FOV or your sensitivity. You also have the option to turn on transparent water for GL ProQuake.

The user feedback from the beta version was used to make several enhancements, including some changes to make the launcher very fast and lite in memory usage.

Thanks!

ProQuake isn't the latest and greatest, but it is in very high demand in these parts -- aka NetQuake multiplayer territory because it is reliable and does not have settings that can "mess things up badly". In fact, it hardly has any settings at all, heheh

I'll be creating these for other engines ...

But wanted to make one for the engine that gets the most use here at home before making the push for the new engines.

In fact, the Qrack Launcher is available for download in beta.

http://www.quake-1.com/files/clients/qracklaunch.zip

Then I'll be working on one for DarkPlaces and then, finally, for JoeQuake. The JoeQuake one will be the hardest to make because it supports both GL and WinQuake-style and has many more features than ProQuake and wider single player compatibility than most other engines (not quite at the FitzQuake/Enhanced GL Quake levels, of course.)

The JoeQuake Launcher will have some very wild capabilities.

Maybe there is a corrupt screenshot in your folder it can't convert. I'll be updating the ProQuake Launcher with some small changes and I'll look into that.

Thanks for letting me know about this.

I've done some experiments to see if I could duplicate the problem and so far have not been able to.

With the next release, I'll include file verification to ensure it can't be a misplaced file and some sort of implementation of a console that will generate a log.

I'm sorry you have this problem.
