DirectQ + 2 monitors w/ Varying Resolution
Monitor 1 : max resolution of 1280x1024@60Hz
Monitor 2 : max resolution of 1440x900@75Hz
for some unknown reason, DirectQ just as of today I've run into that weird fn bug again, where even though I am using command line
D:\Games\Quake\DirectQ.exe -iplog -height 1024 -width 1280
Load Quake -> Opens in 1280x1024 window mode -> blanks screen -> 1440x900 fullscreen mode and flickering due to being out of range of the monitor.
MH Do you happen to have dual monitor setup, with differing resolutions?
also, can I take a minute to (jokingly) curse every Quake Engine author for "Reset to Defaults" . that setting has to be the gayest damn thing ever invinted. It can take days/weeks/months of configuring and flush it down the toilet, I had to re-google scr_centerprint and then I realized that the Reset to Default command is like falling on your own sword.

just took notice : Loading the game , observing the problems mentioned above, I can alt-enter (window mode) , alt-enter again (back to fullscreen mode) and now its displaying at the correct resolution.

My advice would be to play in border-less windowed mode using the same resolution as your intended full-screen mode (it is effectively the same as full-screen but less chance of fail and easier alt-tab).

Crossfire refuses to operate in Window mode, thats a design flaw. Window mode isn't an option.... well,it is,but I refuse to run '1legged'.
