I've seen lately that the quakeone community (with respect to mods) has been fairly "stuck". The only person who seems to do something is Seven (but in most cases updating SMC). In this community there are many talented programmers and artists: Why not organize a contest of mods?

I think it really would be very beneficial, and practical. I'm talking about any kind of mod.
I propose that we organize something like that.

Hello bfg666,

Func_Msgboard is where the mappers hang out, not the coders.
That is why they do Map Jam rather than Mod Jam
The coders are at insideqc.com for example.

Inside 3d used to have quakeC mod 'jams'; i forget what they were called. but basically someone would come up with an idea/theme and we would make a mod in a month that used the idea. just dont know how many people have much time anymore .
