Advertisements
The ads on the homepage are getting a bit rediculous. Personally, I don't think anyone is going to be fascinated by FREE GLITTERY IM SMILEY FACES or some stupid IQ test that's not even going to produce credbile results. Now normally I wouldn't care about this, but they pop themselves up in front of everything until you find the hidden close button...

I was under the impression that is how the site is paid for...or at least some portion.

I agree glitter chix has nothing to do with Quake and probably 99.99% of the topics on these forums.
Maybe if they were a little more targeted to the actual quakeone.com users the site will earn more and people will get more relevant ads!

I am particularly happy that Saw and 9 is not in my face anymore. I'll take the 300x249 pixel advertisement any day... Even if it is scented candles they are pushing.

The only ad I've seen recently is Lord of the Rings online... I switched to a different ad service and aside from the Saw VI ads they were pretty decent but now not so much. May just switch back to Google Ads.... at least with Google Ads if there is any kind of pop out ad like the Saw VI thing I can opt out of it.
