    Quake HD Remix!

    I have compiled a new mod I call Quake HD Remix. I have sourced resources from Quake: Epsilon Build and Quake HD as well as a few resources I already had (eg: Original Quake CD Music for Base Game).

    this mod will be compatible with BOTH mission packs.

    I have also extensively toyed with the Cvars to deliver the most punch from the Darkplaces Engine as I could.

    as I don't think I can display decent Screenshots and videos here I will send you all the link to my decription of the mod on the Steam Quake Discussiond

    The mod is at completion but will be going to a friend tomorrow for testing before I put it on the net for the world to download.

    It is over 6Gb in size.

    I hope you all like it and when I upload it I will add download link to this thread.

      yet another one of those "super amazing HD compilations", which is even a repack of two other compilations?

              no idea is original and none ever were. yea there plenty of HD quake already out there but the internet is pretty big with lots of space i bet we can find room for this one too! mod on man and if you use others work don't forget to give credit where credit is do.

              to others if this is not something you need for your quake cool move on but dont hate on a guy for sharing!

                  It's not that people don't like the idea, it's literally as Syluxguy said really.

                  Hopefully this get's reviewed then added to the collection.

                    Not hating on the guy, just saying ~ HD Compilation mod's are a dime a dozen, cheaper in fact.

                    The simple premise that modifying values and swapping out content a mod does not make

                    Congrats on changing some decimal numbers and mix matching content created.

                    His Quake HD is no better than every other Dr.Frankenstein building his own Quake HD remix Version OVER9000 out of parts others created,and then rushing to every forum to post about their false sense of accomplishment. Hope no ones feelings get hurt, I'm just saying what 90% of you are thinking. To the other 10%, JDSTONER's your man!

                    Collecting replacement content = okay.
                    Mix&Match those replacement content for your own purposes = okay
                    Mix&Match those replacement contents so you can REPACKAGE and REDISTRIBUTE as your own? This pisses people off,even if you ARE giving credentials. 9 times out of 10, when someone creates something UNIQUE or DIFFERENT you got imitators and the original.

                    It is unfortunate that ever HD pack author always falling into Imitator category.

                          I checked it out on Steam, and it is the same as what I already have that I have used from the developers uploads for community use. Just like the EPSILON build which is basically all other created content taken from the developers to be molded into a power trip I made this build scenario the Quake HD Remix is nothing different. If I wanted to I could upload my Quake folder and call it the Krymzon Death edition since I made all of my own icons, images, menu's and junk but I respect the developers work and I would never use someones hard work for my own personal gain or title trying to say look I made this. Until I see graphics that are not the same as the QRP or Rygles and everything else we already have any other build out there is merely a copy of everyone else work with minor tweaks added to the mix is all.

                              Yeah, I bet he is having a lot of personal gain with his pack! I heard that he listed this pack in his resume, and now both Microsoft and Apple are fighting each other to see who will hire him first.
