  • MD5 hashes of the Quake files?

Can someone post the correct file hashes of the two pak files and the gfx.wad of the full Quake?

I've searched my backups and found these but I don't remember if I applied any mods the last time I checked out a quake source port:

    GFX.WAD
    28c4009b37deac64d5a66ecf15816a0f

    PAK0.PAK
    fa73755ce730469d79c79c1db35b12cd

    PAK1.PAK

Hmm why is your gfx.wad outside of pak0.pak?

I can check my actual Quake installation later, but I also have the data files on a Linux VM here, so FWIW I extracted gfx.wad and did this:
    Code:
    [id1]$ ls -al
    total 51424
    drwxr-xr-x. 2 jbaxter games 4096 Sep 23 10:05 .
    drwxr-xr-x. 5 jbaxter games 4096 Sep 23 10:05 ..
    -rw-r--r--. 1 jbaxter games 112828 Sep 23 10:03 gfx.wad
    -rw-r--r--. 1 jbaxter games 18276119 Jul 5 12:40 pak0.pak
    -rw-r--r--. 1 jbaxter games 34257856 Jul 5 12:34 pak1.pak
    [id1]$ md5sum *
    cde5b5890c8902c02a2f271abe8f4a1f gfx.wad
    85fc9cee2035b66290da1e33be2ac86b pak0.pak
    d76b3e5678f0b64ac74ce5e340e6a685 pak1.pak
I don't remember where I got these so don't take it as gospel yet. :-) Maybe someone else can confirm, or like I said I'll also check the files I usually use when I get home from work.

This is over kill in my opinion.

      gfx.wad ; CDE5B5890C8902C02A2F271ABE8F4A1F
      pak0.pak ; D86A17D1CF2F0342CEEA321EAF237F31
      pak1.pak ; D76B3E5678F0B64AC74CE5E340E6A685

Overkill like swatting a tiny piss ant with a gigantic wrecking ball used in demolition type overkill.

I tried removing it but Darkplaces shows glitched graphics instead of the HUD

I updated pak0.pak - Quake Wiki and pak1.pak - Quake Wiki with the files I have.

You can find a bit more background on the pages in https://www.quaddicted.com/library/start which I will move to Quake Wiki some day.
