  • Old School Build Game Engine Multiplayer Frontend "Meltdown"

So I found a real gem today that I apologize if it's common knowledge, but I just had to share!
"Meltdown"--it's a frontend launcher for dos based old school build engine games like Duke 3d, Blood, Shadow Warrior and Redneck Rampage. It's reminiscent of Dwango if you're old enough to remember using that in the mid 90's. It has chat room lobbies and connection ping ratings. While I realize most of these games are open sourced and have different ways to get in on multiplayer, I was thrilled to be able to play Monolith's "Blood" on coop today. It takes a little bit of configuration and knowledge about dosbox emulation to get it running, but it does work fairly well once set up. If anybody wants to play some Blood coop I am itching for a game. Look for Wookiestick!

I would love to play blood. If you could point me in the right direction for a place to purchase it that'd be swell.

Oh, and I may also need some help setting up DOSbox and such as I am a youngling

Best place to snag a legit DRM free version of Blood that is from GoG.com. I believe Steam has it as well.

I still have my C64 and the 51/4 fdd. The old loud ticker, I have to admit that 99% of the games I own for it are crack team menu loaders.
When the Amiga came along it blew my mind...
