  • Quake1 Q3A style Weapons Redesign

    Quake 1 Nailgun for Quake3Arena (ioQuake) Mod i’m working on.

    First, All of this is just Concept and Work in progress
    Second, I am not planing to release this for Quake1 at the moment.
    (i will do that after Q3 release)

    This model is with placeholder textures!
    I will re-texture this later, but this is main concept of the weapon design.

    The base idea is to Bring Quake1 Gameplay & weapons to Quake3Arena (ioQuake) in Q3 graphical style.
    I did not want to bring exact copy/paste of Quake1 weapons to Quake3, so this is my redesign concept

      Yes, there is no Download atm, because, i want to re-create all Q1 Weapons First. Nailgun was only the First one..
      Second Step before release is to retexture those models with more detailed textures in PBR and bake them for usage in Q3/Q1/Dp.
      (nailgun from pictures & sketchfab model is with Placeholder texture!)

                      Beautiful! I hope they get released one day. I say this because I've seen too much beautiful models and texture never released, so I'm a bit pessimist, but I count on you, keep up that beautiful work

                            These are looking really nice. Can I ask, are they purely cosmetic or will they be mechanically different from the vanilla Q1 weapons?

                            Personally, I like the idea of a nice re-skin but with no functional changes.

                              The whole idea is to Port Quake1 Weapons (with some minor tweaks ) to Quake3 (ioQuake) and give Q1 weapons Q3-ish cosmetic look, but they will be coded same as in Vanilla Q1.
                              Later I will port this to Q1 as cosmetic only.

                              Slipgate Arena ioQ Mod is my priority:

                              -1. New Redesigned Q1 Weapons
                              -2. New Redesigned Q1 Maps
                              -3. New Bots & Player Models (from Q1 Universe)
                              -4. New UI
                              -5. Tweaks

                              It is my personal project, I'm working on it in my free time.
                              I Use this project for learning Q1/Q3 engine coding,C,Maya,Cinema4D,UV Mapping & other stuff
