I've been working on strings in QuakeC and I have demos that I would like to change the messages in to reflect the string changes. Since the changes make the strings longer, simply using a hex editor to overwrite the strings in the demo file won't work, so I'm wondering if there's a tool that can do this or a tool I can use to disassemble the DEM files, modify the strings, and then reassemble them.

Actually, they both do it seems. The only problem I'm running into is that certain demos neither program will open with the error "List index out of bounds". The weird thing is that the 2 demo files that show this error are original demo files for Scourge of Armagon, hipdemo2.dem and hipdemo3.dem.
