  • Tarbaby textures from reforged skins not working

    Hi all,

    please how fix my problem with tarbaby textures from reforged skins? Every monster textures works and only tarbaby not.

    well, the answer to your problem is simple....
    look at the names of the textures you have.....


    see that there is a wizard.mdl_0.jpg but no tarbaby.mdl_0.jpg?

    you only have gloss, luma and normal maps for the spawn,
    but no standard diffuse texture for the spawn in your progs folder
    .
    are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

      oh sorry,

      bad screenshot. I have all tarbaby textures in "progs" folder but not working.

        Marcelus, your textures are fine.
        The Quake Reforged texture compilation had a typo in its shader file since day1.
        It was found and discussed but never got fixed in the download!

        Browse into its scripts folder.
        Open reforged.shader file with notepad.
        Search for progs/tarbaby.mdl_0
        And delete that dirty little h after tarbaby.
        Close and save reforged.shader.

        By the way, the console will tell you exactly what the problem is when you start a map with Tarbabies. You only have to read it.

        Now go and kill those ugly sponge bobs!
