  • I need help getting rid of full brights in my model skins

OK so I've bin putting my HD skins on the models in qme and of course i'm getting a lot of full bright colors in them. Is their a fast easy way to get rid of the full brights?

Open the skin in QME and open the box that shows all currently used colors. From here, you can replace each fullbright with a similar non-fullbright.

i use paint shop pro to do this. You can edit the quake palette in PSP so the last 2 lines are magic pink colour. Then you apply this palette to your borked skin, and select "nearest colour matching", so it will never pick the pink colours. You can then reapply the correct quake palette with "match indices". I'm sure photoshop and gimp offer similar functionality.
