Hello madgipsy, my general question is: what is the main use of mobile internet?
Facebook (social networks) ?

spotify?
video games online?

netflix using 4g?



from this list i only consume netflix (very occasionally, maybe a movie or two per month, really)
Although I am an internet user and I think it is very necessary, I think that we have gradually become too dependent. I'm not against the pc, but I like to go to the street and feel that I'm "disconnected"

Basically I use my phone internet for everything. I was even playing quake on it hotspot styles. I'm on it right now to type this post (hotspot). With 23 gigs I could watch about 23 movies if they are 486p. I have cable though so, it's kinda dumb to watch movies on my phone or hotspot them on my computer. I could turn pandora on today and never ever turn it off ever again...lol? Internet is internet. Granted 4GLTE isn't blazing fast but, I've never really had any problems with movies, music or games streaming smooth. Really, the only thing that sucks about 4glte is people still don't know how to properly make a mobile site. Suuure, it has a mobile menu and fits on a small screen but what about all the dom hits for CSS imports/rewrites and stupid mother fuckers that think the JS write API is a smart way to get shit on the page... among other things that are not really considered when building a mobile site. If I sat down and built a mobile site that shit would be instan-fuckin-taneous. My education doesn't begin and end with @media...lol.

I had to google beyonce. It's not the kind of music I like. I get the impression that current pop music has so many layers of recording and so much post-production that there is only an inert skein of sound waves. That kind of pop upset my nerves. Not to mention to current electronic music.

I consider that in order for someone to be considered a programmer, he must to know how works what he is doing. From the lowest level to the level you are writing stuff.
IF you do not know what you are doing but "work" you are a "scripter" not a programmer.

I can't argue with you there. Beyonce does have a very powerful voice though. My voice isn't too shabby but, I think I'm going to have to chalk up Beyonce as out of my range. I can hit the lower version of her notes but, not with as much "authority". I can hit the exact version of her notes (same pitch) but only in falsetto. My falsetto is also not as strong as her natural notes. I just wanted to see if I could do it, and I can't, at least not strongly, anyway.

It's kind of a bummer cause I wanted to go to open mic night on wednesday and fuck people's minds up with a powerful rendition of Beyonces Halo coming out of the mouth of someone that looks like a skinhead. That's not gonna happen, though. It's a shame cause I can more or less nail this song except for the chorus. The guitar is easy as pie. It's just A, Bm, F#m, D (1,2,6,4 progression) over and over. If you want to get fancy, lose the strum and "arpeggiate" it.

I go through freedompop. They have a basic no-frills plan that's actually $0/month. That's what I use. I bought a refurb S4 from them, and bingo, no more phone bill. 500MB/month, but that suits me just fine. I'm not a big phone user.

You rock foq! I just got 500mb a month free wireless internet by switching my unused AT&T hotspot to freedompop...

Apparently I let the battery die so hard it doesn't exist anymore but, it still works plugged in. I guess I have a not-so-mobile hotspot . Whatevs, I'll just use this...uhhh wait ::hands up:: it says charging!

Cool! I don't know what Imma use 500mb of internet for but, it's free!

That's pretty much it. Point being, they are supporting "your" device you just need to be pushy. I was barfaliciously nice and polite. I even smiled the entire time I talked cause you can actually hear that.

Oh! Be prepared for them to try an sell you a bunch of shit you don't want. I left out a chunk where she was trying to sell me a data stick for 9$ and some phone for 49$. I just kept rerailing back to "you need to activate my hotspot like the entire reason I called entails."...but much more nicely put.

Yeah, if you go through FreedomPop it's a good idea to make sure you're actually on their 100% free plan. They try to get you to sign up for premium services (a couple bucks here and there for this and that) and whatnot.
