  • qstat help?

Anyone here familiar with qstat? I got qstat running but it's outputting "host not found" for every hostname. Not sure why. If I do a standard ping of a hostname it works. It's been so long since I set up qstat... not sure what's going on.

can you get it to work locally from the command line?

I have not tried it locally as I am currently on a Windows computer.

All the host did was move the files from one server to another, moved the IP addresses over, and turned things on. There has to be some sort of networking/dns issue that is preventing qstat from querying the servers?

Is there something that needs to be set up or specified on the server side in order for qstat to reach out?

Smells like a firewall issue. The host requires UDP ports open for all the servers (port 26000-2600?) qstat reaches out to.

Maybe ask your provider if there's anything blocking those ports? If it worked on one server, and not the other - and no configuration changed, it has to be a networking issue..

Oh ya duh! You're right on there I believe. The qstat command has -srcport 26000-26500 so I assume those ports need to be opened.
