obviously 2.0 is the most recent update to inkub0's RTlights.
so grab that one, not the earlier versions.

as far as i am aware, inkub0 never made updated Rtlights for hipnotic (MP1)

FCZ also made RTlights for hipnotic though.

Thx, Talisa. You surely meant he didn't make RTLights for MP1. I had the impression he wanted to do that.

But yeah, it makes sense now. The thread i mentioned is obviously for the main game. The other one with the broken links was for MP2. And Epsilon still uses Romi's for MP1, so maybe that's the best there is ATM?

EDIT: BTW i applaud you for making the HD content thread, it seems to be the only "complete" resource for Quake modding one can find nowadays.

regarding to which are the 'best' RTlights:

there is no such thing as 'best', as what is best is subjective.
and both romi's and FCZ's RTlights are good, they are just different

so why not give FCZ's RTlights for MP1 a try, and see if you maybe like them more

there is no such thing as best HD content, as everybody likes different things.
some like HD models, some prefer HD textures, and someone else might prefer only improved models....

there are a whole slew of different items available no matter what has your preference.

like to just name an example, for high-poly weapons there are plague's weapons which are more blocky & massive, and there are also ruohis weapons which are rounded.

neither of those weapon-packs are better then the other,
they both have great models but depending on your preference you might like either better

whatever HD content you like most is 'best' for you

also thanx.... a looot of times over the years there were people asking for where to find content and when i first got into quake i had to spend countless hours finding everything, as a lot of content can only be found by painstakingly browsing through threads as some stuff can only be found hidden away halfway through threads

so i made my definitely HD replacement content thread to save my fellow quakers from having to waste countless hours and make everything there is out there easily findable by just looking through a list.
