Small Mod Compilation 5.0



Seven just released the new version 5.0 of his Small Mod Compilation.
Among other new features, the player can now be put on fire or poisoned by monsters.
There are many other tweaks and improvements - the full list is here.
If you just want the download, get it from here.
Attention, you need Darkplaces to run this mod.

Jim over at inside3d is working on a very cool looking game using Darkplaces.
It's called "Blaze" and you can read more about it here.
By the way, it should now be possible to register at inside3d again.

Let's not get into Quake vs. Quake 2 - it's nice if people make stuff for Quake's little brother, too.
And why not play some Quake 2 once in a while?

Trivia of the day: Did you know that you can play Quake 2 in FTE?
Just copy the engine into the Quake 2 folder.

Thanks for sharing these... very nice projects.

I also like the idea you look 'ouside' the box for the ones who are not part of other Quake communities like inside3d, Quake 2, QuakeWorld (engines), etc.
