    Ludum Dare with FTEQW

Shpuld has participated in Ludum Dare 31 already in December
with a game made on FTEQW. His entry was Mobster Massacre.

    Live gamedev with FTEQW

He is also streaming his game development process.
You can find it on Twitch.

    John Romero plays DOOM
    ... again

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygp4-kmjpzI]Devs Play S01E05 - Doom (Part 1 - Intro) 60fps - YouTube[/ame]

John Romero plays DOOM with JP LeBreton.
If you don't know everything about DOOM yet, watch the multi-part series here.

Unfortunately John Romero hasn't had time yet to participate in Between
Two Quads and answer the community questions presented to him by
our own Mindzy, despite sorta, kinda agreeing to do it earlier.

I'm sure John Romero is a very busy guy. There's always hope! ... right?
    John? Hello? JOHN?! JOHN!!!

    Have you played... Quake?

So asked Rock, Paper, Shotgun a while ago.

You can find the RPS article here.

    Retroblazer Kickstarter

Darkplaces-based shooter Retroblazer is on Kickstarter now.
Consider pledging if you like the game,
or voting for it on Steam Greenlight.

watched all parts of romero playing through first ep of doom, really enjoyed them.
fun to watch and he shared lots of neat info during playing about all kinda stuff about the game during development

retroblazer was fun, immediately had to go and vote for it on greenlight.
great art-style and fun gameplay, hope for the maker it gets green-lit
    .
are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?
    > then make sure to check out my 'definitive' HD replacement content thread! <

Thanks for linking that RPS article GB. I registered and plopped an invitation for future (hopefully) returning gamers. I'm ecstatic about the article they ran, its just too bad they did not do much homework in terms of realizing that we have modern looking engines/assets to make Quake look like it was JUST released a year or two ago.

I even mentioned that I will help people 1on1 getting setup to enjoy some Q1 multiplayer.

Well done Mindz, perhaps some of them will find their way to this site!

retroblazer was fun, immediately had to go and vote for it on greenlight.
I think I should probably do that too.

Well, I waited til I got off of work... just to realize Mindz already did what I was going to do. Luckily he didn't say some of the things I wanted to say so, it left some room for me to add a punctuation mark and a clickable link to Quakeone.com.

There is no doubt it will be clicked. Let's hope it's a ridiculous amount of them.
