Could this be ran as a server for multiplayer?

Of course. Each map rotation can have a time limit. Version 1.1 was on one of the Universal Servers, it would be neat to bring 1.2 on board!

Last dodgeball release, at least according to this, there were problems with multiplayer:

Is that stuff ancient history and no longer applicable?

Or did those guys just not set it up right or something?
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I was never involved with the initial setup, but I do remember there were some difficulties with getting some matches going. This was also how Orion and I were able to fix some bugs thankfully, as a lot of you were able to cross over to the opposing team's side Lol, negke made for sure that it’s near impossible to have this happen on the maps now. I would really like to give this a shot either way and collaborate with anyone who is interested in putting it on a server. There is a classic mode and the regular Quake Dodgeball mode, so that’s where it might get a little tricky, but I assume most will want to play the regular mode 90% of the time. I plan on hosting an official server or two once I update my server computer!

I'll let you know when a server is up! I also have a guy who is interested in throwing up a dedicated server, he wants to organize a game for next weekend. We are testing it out for now.
