To the left you see a recolored version of the Boss skin done by Lightning_Hunter. Toss it in your bag of Quake goodies from Quakeone.com and its users! For Darkplaces, you will probably have to rename the image to boss.mdl_0.jpg to work. Animations and gloss effects are not included, however Lightning_Hunter welcomes animations done based on this version posted in the forum where this all started. Click Here to go read about it!
Shmack Servers May Close Down

Slot-Zero has posted on his website, RuneQuake.com, "I've chosen not to renew my contract for the dedicated server that hosts all of my game servers. Every year I spend less and less time thinking about them and I've finally decided to call it quits. The servers will go down on or about November 2, 2011. The website and forum will remain up for a while longer. Thanks everyone, it's been fun." I think we should keep these servers up. Anybody willing to help foot the bill, I'm also willing. Shmack has been a staple in Quake 1 for years, and is truly part of the reason it's still alive. Lets pull together and not let this die!

Quake reforged - Alternative and Altered Skins!

Osjclatchford, following on from a conversation in the qrf thread, has decided to open this thread for anyone who has any altered or tweaked skin-work based on or around the Quake Reforged skins.
Osjclatchford has consent from the team so don't fear about poaching of others work. You're gonna love the stuff done in this thread to Shamblers and Fiends! This is a bit old, but I had to address it nonetheless. Check it out!
HUD with CSQC for Darkplaces

nahuel has released a new custom HUD for use with Darkplaces only, however it's a beautiful CSQC contribution to the forums and many are appreciative! Just extract the csprogs.dat in the folder of the mod you are running/playing, and you're good to go! Visit the FORUM to get the files and read more about this!
Quake MP2 : DoE - Lava SuperNailgun Type 1
OoPpEe released his finished work of his Lava Supernailgun. This model was provided by Seven and finished by OoPpEe, a great teamwork effort! Be sure to get over to the THREAD HERE and check out the rest! Based on the reading, it seems that OoPpEe will be coming out with a Type 2 to this Lava SuperNailgun, and who knows what the rest of the community will contribute to this thread!
Small Mod Compilation

Seven, due to the fact, that many people use his older mod-pack, has released Small Mod compilation - Quake + MP1 + MP2.
So now you have these mods in one compilation:
- 3 flame types: polygon, improved dpmodīs sprite, particle flames. (Selectable via cvar)
- Footstep sounds
- NailGunīs + SuperNailGunīs nail position correction (including Lava Guns now !)
- Kickable gibs and heads (Selectable via cvar)
- multiple gib cvarīs to adjust the gib behaviour to your likings (stay-duration, quantity, fade animation)
- gibbable corpses
- Nails stick in Walls
- Plasma Gun bug fix in Mission pack 2 for DarkPlaces
- Included beautiful Rain+Snow effects (with rain+thunder sounds) more details
- Added3 death animations (selectable via multiple cvar for each monster + random options):
Ancient ghosts of the fallen, Relieved souls of the enslaved, Vengeance of the deceased
- added new phantom sword death animation in Rogue (dying knight spawning/fading in)
- added axe sound when player hits a monster (2 sound sets to choose from)
- added particle muzzleflashes for both shotguns and nailguns (Selectable via cvar)

Our code monkey R00k has released some new status bar icons, these icons will appear on your status bar when you get power-ups such as the ring of shadows, pentagram of protection, quad, and bio-suit.

Inkub0 has done a re-pack of the material from our hands on guys registered here at Quakeone.com. It's still fresh and as far as I know, Inkub0 is still working on it, so I'm guessing there may be updates to it.
