  • What resolution do you view Quakeone.com at?

    I was doing the SMC v4.30 news article and was concerned @ news structuring format / what resoluition everyone is using.

    It looks fine for me at 1920x1080 but when I dropped to 1440x900 it looked horrible,and I presume it gets worse with the lower the resolution being used.

    Does the news look fine to you or is it all jacked up? If your using a custom resolution thats not listed, just post in a reply. I could only use 10 choices, I think I covered the more common resolutions.

      My answer is wrong... I work in full hd but i watch quakeone.com in a 25% surface of it only to keep others for multitasking... so its 960x540!

          Thats what my Quakeone.com looks like @ 1920x1080. The neatness and cleanliness of the text is what I am concerned about. Does the sections of text { } bracketed in green in my image, look okay for everyone. If not, what resolution are you using!

            It's 1366 x 768 on my laptop and 1280 x 1024 [don't giggle] on my home PC, and it looks fine and well laid out on both.

            Kind regards

              Hi JD
              There are a number of ways depending on the OS and toolset you are using,
              but on my Win7 laptop if you try Start > control Panel > then under "Appearance and Personalisation" select "Adjust Screen Resolution" and you should find that the current screen resolution is quoted in a dropdown box within the main window.

              Hope this helps

                currently i always watch quakeone at 1440x900 on my secondary monitor.
                but in a couple days i'll get my new 27" 2560x1440 monitor

                then ill get rid of this old 17" 1440x900 piece of shit and instead
                turn my current main monitor into secondary, which is 1920x1080

                the news-item looks fine though at 1440x900, doesnt look perfect but its not 'a mess' either imo
                .
                are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?
                > then make sure to check out my 'definitive' HD replacement content thread! <
                everything that is out there for quake and both mission-packs, compiled into one massive thread

                  This was the problem I always had with news Mindz! It's the downside to doing a full screen layout versus a fixed width layout. Can't please everyone!

                    1280x1024

                    dual monitors means I can still quake and have fullscreen browsers going at the same time

                      Mindz just LEFT JUSTIFY the whole post.

                      I think the baseline resolution now would be 1024x768.
                      Code:

                      <a
                      	onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outgoing/http_s263_photobucket_com_user_mindfieldzx_media_QuakeNews_1NMdj83fDJ_zps8d6a18c2_jpg_html');"

                              target="_blank"

                          It depends on the device... 1920x1200, 1280x800, or 640x480... But good html should work with all...
