I don't nornally comment in Polls but I would have to agree with Baker and go for Polarite. I'm sure all of the others players are excellent but Pol's ability IMHO is second to none. However he gets my vote partly for his skill with almost any weapon, partly for his strategy, and significantly for his general attitude towards the game and his fellow players. He treats everyone with respect, never mouths off like some brattish kid (even though his is stil a whippersnaper
), helps other players improve their experience, and continues to contribute to the game running around 5-10 quake servers (depending on how the mood takes him).

Wait...
How can you have the "Best of the Best" poll for 2009 when the year is not even close to being over? I believe this poll is a popularity contest
and not a true determination of who is the best. So I propose..... why not have a Quake 1 2009 Tournament set for later this fall? Up for the challenge?
