guy was stuck in megahealth room spamming nades.


As the game changes (new ports/mods) the oldschool shit is dust.
They played at 60fps, 100ms ping and with angles * (256/360),
and maybe a mouse (@ 40 Hz!).

An average player today can toast a vet on that kinda criteria.

That would have to be Reppie. Oskar "LakermaN" Ljungström deserves a mention too. He was a member of Swedish Chefs clan - God knows where he is or what he is up to now.... although he does seem to have an entry in the Swedish wikipedia database.....

Well it depends on how you want to rate the 'best' player.

As far as the best player known to the world it's "Dennis Fong aka Thresh", only because he won the red annihilation tournament in 1997. He won $1 million buck's + john carmack's ferrari.

I honestly don't have a suggestion or even a pick on who the best player would have been, only because STATS did not really exist back in the hay day's of quake and it would be hard to compare. I mean you had some great player's in different area's. Every player has a bad day, and those bad day stats would reflect on the player, so that would help manage his true ability as a player. In my past of playing against member's from deathrow,cgib,pi,u4,9,smurfs,ck,1134,postal, and so on, you had several talented member's and you had some guys who seemed they needed to be carried by the better players, but were part of the clan due to attitude, attendance, and being friends with everyone eles.

you have had some good talent's from clans along the way like zt,xbn,6fu,np,dy,elohim, and so on, but over all i cant say who was the best considering the STATS were not around at that point in time. If you had to check stats today, I think it would be a toss up between a few players. also depends on what mod you are talking about, or all mods combined?
