Hi, thx for the great guide. It really helped me get good old Quake look great for a nostalgic replay.

I did notice some links are not working.

For example, FCZ's enhanced RT lights there is no valid link.

Also, fragger's site is down. I was able to get killgenion's fixed monsters, but I can't find hipnotic addon monster links anywhere.

The box with the glowing radiation sign "ooppee-barrels-with-shader.pk3" is also not available, but i was able to google FU it from here:

its best to use slightly thicker paper which is more sturdy and isnt prone to crumpling and folding by itself,
and with thicker paper you can use a stanley knife to gently trace the outside of edges to make the corners sharper

and be sure to use a good glue, which sticks right away but is still adjustable,
and which isnt to slippery and water-like. good glue and good slightly thicker paper can make a huge difference


ive made several papercraft models myself over time,
and you can really tell the difference between models made with thicker paper and good glue,
and the ones made with regular paper and cheap glue.

the ones i made with thick paper and good glue still look perfect years later,
ones done with copy paper and cheap glue have slumped down over time and i had to repair them several times

do you use typical (white copy) paper to make make a model? or is it a specific type?

if you want papercraft models, someone has already made those of all quake-monsters long ago

searching for them i found out the site where the person uploaded his papercrafts to is no more though.

talisa, once again thanks!!! I'm making papercraft grunt. I have half of him. Everything is going great. Last thing I need to do is to export .obj with other poses, not only with neutral standing pose. Maybe you have some advice because export from preview doesn't work in Noesis. Thanks.

Hi! I'm making papercraft models. I've tried to rip models from Quake game many hours but I couldn't make it. So I got request. Can somebody send me original models from Q1? I need only models with some neutral pose with textures in .obj format. I can make other things when I have it so I can build real 3d model from paper. If someone could help, please.

ty for the effort, but any addons from which the original download-links expired are mirrored already to my dropbox,
as download-links on dropbox dont expire as the files are linked to my account and thus they will always remain available.

your mega-link also doesnt work it would seem,
when i open the page it just shows some grey circle loading icon forever and absolutely nothing happens regardless of how long i wait.
