  • Illumination in Quake engine

I'm starting my first map for Quake and always when I test it, map is very dark... and in outdoor areas i have same problem.
How make quake maps be illuminated fine, in goldsrc was easy (before I was mapper of it)
Here video os my map, to see what I mean.

    Hi RV
I'm no mapping expert, but the method of adding light can depend on the mapping tools you are using. For example, some tools require a seperate app and process to calculate the effect the lighting entities have on your map, whereas some mapping apps, such as the old Quoole program, have lighting included. Fortunately you are in luck and a very accomplished mapper called dumptruck has produced a series of helpful videos on how to light your maps with mapping programs like trenchbroom.

    Hope this helps
