  • Freezing Time In Qrack. Is It Possible?

I'd like to go in the game, provoke the monsters to get a reaction and then freeze the game, so I can walk around and take pictures. Is there a cvar for that?

    host_framerate 0.00000001 is pretty close.

oops didnt read the whole message. hmm maybe just record a demo of the monster in idle and then replay the demo and use the right mouse button to toggle freemove, then record an avi and circle around the model ?

Recording a demo is probably the best way, I've seen demos where they've moved the camera location, so I know it's possible.

You really want a QC solution for this rather than an engine-based one.

I used to create stuff for SOF2 before this and I used a program (more like a mod) called "Refrag" to view demos. With it you can fly around the demo like a camera, controlling speed, pitch, yaw, zoom, etc. It was used mainly to record movies, but I used it to take pictures of my skins and maps. Maybe there's something like that for Quake I don't know about.

If using an QuakeWorld engine would be alright, go checkout http://jogi.netdome.biz/camquake/index.html
