Darkplaces Quake problem with water/slime textures...

  • Darkplaces Quake problem with water/slime textures...

    I'm using the latest Darkplaces Engine build, and for some reason the water and slime seems to be black... Either that, or it's just really dark, as I can notice a short flash of texture when it's lit by a muzzle flash. How do I fix this?

    I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere.

    i am having the same problem.. i can get the rest of the map looking great except the sky and the water. Water is very purple/black and the sky is extremely bright

        Possiblely due to your graphics card, or graphics settings

        Try turning off advanced effects for water/sky

        or changing your graphics driver, from openGL to D3D

        I dunno...

          Isn't DP OpenGL only? What's your graphics hardware? Most likely this has a bearing on it more than anything else.

            i had the same problem until i customized lightings -> RT World (must be on) unfortunately darkplaces gets unplayable slow at this (at least on my computer). this is why i use qrack.
