ive been eye ballin the servers as of late but i never see anyone on rage or speaknow. whats the deal? (btw, i miss Atlanta)

Last time I was on Rage there were 2 a-holes playing airshot... I patiently waited for them to finish then I jumped in only to be greeted with the casual hate speech a-holes give you in Quake if you mess up their sex-for-2 party.

There's no turns, no fair play or people who want to share the experince. They just want to jerk their closest buddy off in a game of airshot.

This was about 2 months ago.

I don't play much anymore, still have a horrible setup for FPS (fast paced) gaming so I basically just play Xbox for games that require speed and reflex. Wireless everything is not as good as people think.

But as far as I'm concerned, yes most the CA players who occupy the servers now seem to be self-serving, rude and blind to their own actions on public property.

It's very sad to see.

well, there have to be a few good cax players around (cough,cough) who want to revive the scene. because, honestly, i'm not going to crmod or rq. cax, or nothing lol. i would play fvf or another coop mode, but no one even plays those. which is a shame. but, i digress.

Strangely enough Gunter's FVF server does seem to be getting something of a small resurgence. I can't say it's my favourite game/mod but there are often a couple of players on their (gulliver, fire, gunter, etc) and they are usually quite friendly.
If CAX is what you are after then there are regularly a couple of guys (MuffinMan and Q) on the new york CAX server who are usually very keen on other players joining in. Now it might be because I am an admin there but they seem quite welcoming to most players.

As far as coop is concerned the New York and Flanders RQuake servers do get some limited custom. Not a massive amount of players it's true but some are better than none
