Need Help Connecting To Servers.

At first I tried gamespy 3d, but when I selected a server to join a command console can up for a second and a little window saying "starting TCP/IP quake" or something similar. But the game would never start. Then I tried using the ingame console, by just typing "connect xctf.clan-rum.org" and that wouldn't connect either. So far I haven't been able to conenct to any online servers.
What am I doing wrong? Its not my firewall, I allowed joequake to access the internet and accept connections.

Assuming you have registered Quake, trying starting JoeQuake directly and type connect quake.ihoc.net and see what happens.

I told u all u have to do is type connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx stands for an IP. To get active Quake server IPs, you can see who's where with

Alright, problem solved :d

(He had 2 network connections and it was confusing Quake. Solved by the -ip x.x.x.x parameter and/or disabling the inactive network connection. Man that cvar_savevars thing defaulting to 0 in JoeQuake 0.15 sure has annoyed a lot of players.)
