    hey im new to quake how do i make it so my mouse controls all of the movement of look left and look right and look up and look down? cuz when i tried to do it in the options it wouldn't do it. plz help. i also play quake on psp too lol computer is much easier though

    type in +mlook in the console. You should make a copy of your config.cfg in your id1 folder, rename it to autoexec, and open it with notepad. Erase everything already in there, and put in +mlook, so you won't have to type it in the consoel everytime you play.

        ok that makes it so the mouse moves view up and down but now it doesn't move left and right. what else do i do to make it go left and right?

              where W is forward A is sidestepleft D is sidestep right and the mouse moves the players head left and to and up and down.

                  You can set all those things in the Options in Quake.

                    im talking about USING the mouse to look around i have it so its looking up and down but i need it so it looks left and right also. +mlook doesn't do both i need something more i think. can u get me your file so i can get your controls?

                            Here is a config with every thing stripped out that is specific to my controls and preferences.

                            Right click on the attached file and save to:

                            c:\quake\id1\config.cfg (or equivalent location)
