If you have a local friend, then thats the best ping u can hope for (almost).
but either you or your friend, can host a dedicated server.
"glpro.exe -dedicated 4 -mem 32 -condebug debug%d +deathmatch 1 +teamplay 2"
that will start a server with normal deathmatch rules.
if your friend has his net setup correctly (port forward, dmz open)

then you can just connect 123.456.789.255 (obv plug his ip there)

The multiplayer works well, but I've been unable to find a server with tolerable PING. This may be really stupid question (I know it is), but how can I connect straight to my friend's IP? I tried out some console commands I found on web and the game didn't say that it was incorrect, but neither it had any effect.
