  • ProQuake LAN Browser

There is a good many of us that do in person LAN parties. I see that ProQuake has an internet browser but no LAN browser from what I can tell. Is there a special key or something for a LAN browser? If not, how do I make a request for development efforts to put the LAN browser back in from the original source code? Thanks!

i thought you could always just type slist in the console and get a list of all servers on the local network

I don't think I've ever connected to lan in any other way than

      "connect 192.168.1.x"

I don't think it even occurred to me that there could be another way

True, neither have I. I've never seen a proquake local server browser AFAICR.

TKRN, what mod do you want to host on your LAN? Or are you wanting to host Vanilla COOP? 1st things 1st, let's get some details!

At LAN parties, there is a great many of our players that don't play often and I think that would be too much effort for a novice quake player. See screenshot, this was in the original quake client (netquake). It would be extremely helpful for LAN games. We do DM/Threewave CTF and Rune mod mostly. Nothing crazy pretty basic.

            Hi tkrn ,

You can always use a older version of proquake for this.
The internet server browser was only added in the latest version.

But like mention before by Rook , the command "slist" in console should still work.

The older version still have the lan browser.

            I suggest version 4.52 or 4.90
