That's no Darkplaces folder, that's a darkplaces SOURCE folder XD

Put it in ID1. Darkplaces doesn't use another folder like fuhquake engines do.

the loc folder is in the correct place, but I don't have those pak files. Where can I get them at?

There needs to be a locs folder in the id1 folder (which should contain pak0.pak and pak1.pak); and the .loc file go in the id1/locs folder.

Tried that, and it still isn't working. I actually had the locs in the correct place, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Don't know if it matters, but this is everything in my Darkplaces folder (you'll have to zoom in). I'm not sure what all I really need, ect.

By the way, I moved those folders at the top so they aren't in there anymore. The locs folder is actually a copy from my id1 folder.

The engine goes in your Quake folder.

Use the QuakeOne Map Pack EZInstaller (download)and re-install the maps, which comes with the locs. Locs go in c:\quake\id1\locs and the EZ Installer does this for you.

I can't seem to get the locs to work. I downloaded the patch but I'm not sure where everything needs to be placed at.

and are the Loc's created inside DarkPlaces compatible with ProQuake?
Yes they are compatible with ProQuake as long as you only use boxes.

It can also produce QIZMO format loc files for QW clients if you only use points.

Using a mixture of both is only compatible with DarkPlaces.

Note that the location name associated with the highlighted location is shown in r_speeds 1.

started a topic DarkPlaces Now Supports Locs

    DarkPlaces Now Supports Locs

    DarkPlaces Loc Support

According to Inside3D, DarkPlaces now has ProQuake-style loc support which should make life easier for CA and DM playing DarkPlaces users.

Thanks to LordHavoc for adding so many ProQuake-style features (ping in scoreboard, better connecting, bestweapon) to then engine within the last year and to those like Monster, scar3crow and Canadian Sniper that report bugs or issues they discover.
Working...
