ATTN LordHavoc: Crackling in DP

I have some pretty good speakers now - Creative Inspire 5.1 set - and it's hooked up to a SoundBlaster Audigy II ZS. And I get sound crackling/popping when certian things go on... lots of explosions can do it, most noticibly firing the super nailgun.

Then I tried using the 44KHz resampling thing thinking it could just be the general crappiness of the standard 11KHz sounds vs the 44KHz sounds. Still crackling.

Then I remembered that Darkplaces has a funky way of doing things sometimes. I installed Qrack, and there is absolutly no crackling whatsoever, even when firing the SNG.

So I can only conclude it's a Darkplaces problem...

Try darkplaces-sdl.exe and see if that helps.

Also try the latest beta version of darkplaces.exe and darkplaces-sdl.exe - I'm probably going to release a stable build soon because it seems solid.
