cl_netfps , if I understand correctly in DarkPlaces, allows the client to be customized in the aspect of how much data is sent in relation to how much fps your using, so its an indepent control of the default 72 fps locked. Maybe r00k can make this more understandable,as I feel im having trouble explaining this.

DirectQ always sends at a max of 72 no matter what you're running at. It would be easy enough to make it cvar-ized, but there doesn't seem much point.IT LIVES! http://directq.blogspot.com/

It was just a feature request, I am finding it more rare that I can even fathom an idea that could make DirectQ better than it is, I'm amazed at how you continue to push the envelope for Quake1. If only I could see into the future, and where coders like yourself / others projects will be later on. It seems 2012 is easily the busiest Quake1 has been in terms of coding and development in quite awhile.
It's awesome being witness atleast.Want to get into playing Quake again? Click here for the Multiplayer-Startup kit! laissez bon temps rouler!

Hmmm - it mustn't have become a separate cvar yet then. It is now, anyway.IT LIVES! http://directq.blogspot.com/

Well,im still using April 3rd exe, as the 6/23/2012 exe and 8/19/2012 exe both gave me trouble. Now I am kicking myself, I realize the more requests ~ the longer the wait for the polished dx11 release.Want to get into playing Quake again? Ah yes, I must have added it since that version then. It's already been there for a few months anyway and I just forgot when it went in.IT LIVES! http://directq.blogspot.com/

niiiiice.
I was reading your blogspot, sucks that when you updated to Catalyst 12.8 you had a shitstorm of fail to occur, I have learned to accept updating AMD drivers needs ,
-full DriverSweeper removal
-a reboot Windows,
-another DriverSweeper to make sure only the two default AMD display drivers that come with windows is loaded, then install the 12.8 or whatever package.
This makes life easier for me, the AMD owner HEHE. I probably won't abandon ship, the next investment will be AMD, and probably dualcard again. Sometimes I gotta fight getting the damn AMD Vision Engine CP to update correctly even with those steps.
AMD definately needs to refine their Driver packages they serve up to us customer, because well, they fn suck. I have never just 'updated my drivers' and been problem free!Last edited by Mindf!3ldzX; 09-16-2012, 05:59 PM.Want to get into playing Quake again?
