  • Making a map but want invis textures?

    Hey anyone know by chance how to create a 100% transparent brush?

    Meaning I want the brush not to be seen but it would still block a player's path not allowing them or any projectiles to pass the brush? Thanks!

    use "clip" as texture... thats all

    edit: oh u want nades to bounce of of em too? hmm not sure if that can be done.. that would require transparent textures

        Me thinks that phenom is going to alter the dm3 map source with transparent walls and use that in rage ;P

          Really though, i'd like figure this out. I've seen it done on a CTF map

            It can be difficult to do, you name the texture "skip" and use Tyrann's skip remove utility which removes the texture making the wall transparent.

            I can't always get this utility to work with all map compilers, but that is how it can be done.

                If I'm thinking of the same map as you, the glass is there but you can fire through it. Basically you can't walk through it but you can fire through it.

                  Its the CTF map where the flags are side by side but separated by a 'window'

                  I don't remember being able to shoot through it tho? I could be wrong

                    I remember giving a trigger a billion health was one way.
                    It would bleed, though.

                    There was another, improved method, that came after that, but I don't quite remember it.
