  • MDL conversion?

Could somebody help me and give a hint, how to to convert quake *.mdl file into any, ANY format, that 3d applications today use?
Is it even possible? OR maybe you know some *.mdl importers?

I think you can download the 30 day trial of Quick3D and do that.

    http://www.quick3d.org/

My 30 day trial expired long ago so I can't load it up to confirm. But it is my understanding that what you want to do is possible-ish.

I have in the past encountered 3D apps and command line tools that convert to and from Quake MDL format +/- via Google but didn't take note because I had only a cursory interest in it.

The search went something like this:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

edit: shit, wrong link. software's name is Quake Modeller 0.8. It converts mdl into md2, which is readable by most of 3d apps
