sprite editor?

is there a free sprite editing program that works good with quake? (also any good tutorials pointed in the direction of sprite creation for quake?)

You might be able to use Adqedit as well. I've never tried to make a sprite, but I know fimg can do it. (Fimg was made by FrikaC).
