  • Running proquake dedicated server in Ubuntu?

I've been trying to get the dedicated server for linux to broadcast properly, but I'm getting stuck. I can run the file and set the port, but past that I can't get it to work. It doesn't appear on a computer that is connected to the same router, and whenever I type "status", I get "Can't 'status', not connected." Using the map command returned this:

    map start

    SV_SpawnServer: Thu Sep 23 20:38:31 2010

    FindFile: ./id1/progs.dat
    FindFile: can't find maps/start.bsp
    Map not found, using sv_defaultmap
    FindFile: can't find maps/start.bsp
    Couldn't spawn server maps/start.bsp
I tried looking at the guides, but whenever I click any link it always redirects to the main page. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have pak0.pak and pak1.pak in your id1\ folder and make sure the filenames are all in lowercase (linux is case sensitive, unlike windows)
