    Hello Guys & Girls!
    I can't believe I'm posting again on this forum after... 8 years?
    But you know, the Quake bug bites from time to time, and I think the times were ripe to completely refactor my RTLights, soooo, without further ado I give you...

    As i mentioned before on the forums of old, my idea of Quake 1 is a dark, scary place, where you can barely see anything, lit with dim torches, set in a world where even the sky moves in an eternal twilight.
    So please don't complain it's too dark

    This mod contains Realtime Lights for all the maps of the Episode 1 of Quake (1997). It can be used with the Darkplaces engine.

    Hi Inkub0 and welcome back.
    It's good to see a contributor returning and I had a look at the link you provided and was wondering how you went about projecting light through the windows? It's subtle but really quite effective.
    In any event please keep up the good work

      Nothing fancy, the light does not go through the windows really. It's a light with cubemap in front of it.
      It's funny you say that is cool, because... to be honest cubemaps could be much better, but I need time to figure out on how to get the best out of them.
      Probably after I finish relighting Q1, DoE and SoA, will try to improve those.

            Link to moddb ! They are for some reason still approving episode 2 & 3.
            Now I shall focus on finishing episode 4.
