    Final Release - Better matching Knight and Shambler head gibs from the OSJC's 'enhanced' quake1 model conversions pack.

    Includes all twelve head gibs in vanilla Quake. These have all been converted to MD5 from the Authentic Model Improvements for Quake project.

    must also mention that chillo, luneran, skiffy, sock and capnbubs are also in dire need of a creditation here...

    chillo -demon head, model. - osjc skin
    luneran - knight head, model and skin
    skiffy - shambler head model, osjc skin
    sock - soldier head - (osjc player head skin), ogrehead base (osjc alterations to include new ogre face details)
    capnbubs - dog head model and skin

    also the shambler head you've chosen is a poor match for the new monster model...
    its designed to go with skiffy's shambler and as such does not match at all...
    why not use the one I made that's actually designed to match the new shambler model attached below:

    now I think of it the h_knight is wrong too.
    thats designed for the luneran knight model. Ive already done the new knight head here:

    this would be the best place to get my new models from, not the AMQ. the amq uses other models that are NOT in quake enhanced...

            Hello Trickle,

            Your hopes came true:

            FTEQW fully supports the MD5 format.

            MD5 model names need to be renamed to .mdl.
            Example: dog.md5mesh into: dog.mdl
            The animation or skin files do not need to be renamed.

            Imaging, combined with real time lighting / shadows.
            What a visual feast.

              Well, these were more for the Enhanced Quake release, but that is really awesome to know!

              10 years? I wonder why no one took complete advantage of this.

                Even though it's a bit off-topic: Can anybody take a look at the Ogre and Demon MD5s? It seems they have some problems with clipping. At first I thought it's because of the Kex port, but it apparently also happens in Quakespasm-Spiked.
                The Ogre seems to sink into the floor a bit while walking, but it's even worse when he is dead. As for the Demon, one of his arms is clipping into the floor after death, too (fixed in our Auth Model Project).

                Those are all the MD5 issues I was able to find so far. If you know any others, feel free to share (and fix if possible, ofc).
