  • Locating Missing files and fixing dead links

Hello everyone! I've been absent for years from the Quake scene, and I feel like I missed the party around here. There are SO many once great files on this forum that are now missing and/or dead links. Someone out there MUST be holding on to these files that can share them with the rest of us! In particular, here are some files I'm trying to track down that I cannot find:

Seven's SMC 5.6 (Yup, this huge project has no working link I could find online)
    https://quakeone.com/forum/quake-mod...od-compilation

    Seven's Rapture fixes:
    https://quakeone.com/forum/quake-mod...ions-and-fixes

    Zerstorer Reforged:
    https://quakeone.com/forum/quake-mod...er-hd-reforged

There are a lot more files missing than just these, but I'll start with these for now...

    Hello Lightning_Hunter,
    I´m collecting this files too.
Feel free to download or link to my webspace. I have a ton of files here and when I have time I upload it to my site!

Awesome, thanks for responding! I saw the SMC 5.6 that you uploaded, but do you have the source code? The original SMC came with the source code, but I don't see it in your uploads. I actually already have the mod itself but need the source code! Thanks, Webangel.

That's a shame! I know the source came with the original .rar file that contains all the other files you uploaded. It was a pretty large file. I wish I had kept it!

I ask Seven via email if he could send me the sources!

Does anyone have the original download for nahuel's Hipnotic HUD? The link is broken. In particular, I need it for the source code. I have the HUD itself, but I need the source to add a few icons for my SMC mod:

I tried archive.org and some other tricks for several of the links ... to no avail.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Yeah, I don't think it's online - but I'm convinced someone must have it on their HD. Maybe Seven has it?

                    I'm downloading https://www.quaddicted.com/webarchiv...et_20150201.7z

Because 1 of the files seemed to be hosted on quakewiki.net at the time.

I think WinRAR can do a "find" in archive I'll see if "hud" finds a file in there.

/ It won't be in there although I will still look .. https://www.quaddicted.com/webarchiv...t_20150201.log does not have .7z file in it

There is a possibility that if you asked Spirit, since he inherited the wiki he might have the locally hosted zips somewhere. There was one locally hosted "custom-hud.7z" that was supposedly downloadable from quakewiki directly instead of dead mediafire.

Update: the archive only has .html files and the pics on the pages, does not have any of the hosted .zips

                      Hello Lightning Hunter,

Yes, the CSQC HUD was a huge project at that time.
Nahuel came up with the idea and did the heavy lifting.
I took over and adjusted it for the SMC (please read the SMC ID1 Readme for more info)
Smith also worked hard on them and added some new stuff.

I never released it for SMC MP1 + MP2 builds but made versions for my private usage.
(MP1 + MP2 always have been some versions behind as you know)

I uploaded the very latest versions, last modified 02. September 2014, that I use myself.
Dont get confused by the file namings. I always put infos into the file name itself in my personal archive to quickly see why the particular file was made.
I left them unchanged as well as all the included files.

With these versions everything works robust.
                      Have fun.

Some mirrors, so they maybe last longer:
