  • A yuletide gift from the OSJC; axe packs!

Hi again folks, latchford's back yet again, with another skin release just in time for christmas for you!
It had not escaped my notice just how many players out there seem to prefer the classic v_axe.mdl over rygels dpmod 'mkII' version.
Well, with skins for this model being on the slim side, (only primevil's great work I think!) I decided to spread a little xmas cheer and get busy this evening, so here is the result; ten skins for the axe ranging from the classicly-oldskool to the down-right bizzare!

    enjoy!

    oh, yeah, pic

kind wintery regards with extra tinsel
    Latchford

    Hello osjclatchford,

thank you for this early christmas present.

You know, in regular Quake and Mission Packs you will have to use your brutal melee weapon very seldom.
But in Fan-Made Maps, which are most of the times much to difficult for me, you will start axing things often.

Your skins have a wide range, as you said. LOL to Hello Kitty

Unfortunately your "bling" and "classic" axe is the same.
    Is it with purpose ?

    Thank you.
    Seven

And in Remake Quake, you'll want to use the axe because it is *gasp* fun. Who'd have thought

          thanks guys.

seven, 'the same' as in their previous releases on the 'silver polished axe' thread? if so thats ok, I just added them to this to make a more complete collection.
but, if they are 'the same' as each other then thats a mistake I need to fix... lol!

oh, and disco rockstar, 'osjclatchford' is my prefered moniker lol

classic_axe.pk3 indeed had the wrong v_axe.mdl_0.tga in it, its now fixed (same link above!). I thought it might have been a compression or upload error (what with all the same file-names is subfolders) but it was the wrong file back in the original folder, not sure what happened there but all should be fine now! thanks for noticing seven!

Sorry man i talk with you and Ooppee often and get you 2 confused. Both of you do so much for quake1 and also do similar projects.

            My apologies!

no need to apologise dude, I just thought it was pretty funny (and flattering) being confused with someone who's work is like ten times better than anything of mine!
              much LOL's to be had!
