  • Nail and Crescent - A Modern Take on Quake

    This is based on a fork of the Quake II RTX code. So realtime raytraced lighting, PBR materials, the whole nine yards.
    They are hoping to create a game that gives you the experience of Quake, but with some new twists and turns.

    Eventually they aim to position this as a general platform for modding other games.

    Nice find TM.
    Mind = blown!

    I wish I had the talent to produce something like this. The closest thing I saw to this level of quality with a Quake Engine was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjJx7BqV6Yo about 4 years ago. Gotta love their take on the SNG and ammo packs

    Kind regards
    Monty

          Modeller Gabriel Zedekiel recently posted his take on the Lightning Gun for Nail and Crescent. After a period of little visible activity, things are beginning to come together.

            Thanks TM
            I like his take on the LG. I wonder if he produced his own set of textures for that as they look very impressive.

            Kind regards

              Mr. Burns - Yes, he made a bunch of custom materials in Adobe Painter for use in the project.

                This might be the Quake remaster I had been hoping for when they dropped that Kex port on us.

                  Progress on the Knight by Gabriel Zedekiel. Also working on direct Trenchbroom support.

                    This just gets better, I do wonder though what the performance would be like on a modest PC? Has anyone in our little community been lucky enough to be able to test it?
                    Thanks for the updates TM. Please keep them coming.
