QUAKE REFORGED project
Hi there, we (Alfader and Nergal) are happy to announce that finally our site is ready to go and host as much content as we can pack in it!
As some of you already noticed, we have coined the name QUAKE REFORGED for our projects, and thanks to the crucial support of Solecord and Baker, we have also found an home for us
(Yes, this community is so quaketastic…)

Quake reforged hosts all our three projects and anything else we may think about (don’t worry, we’ll release these ones before ).
The first page of the site works like a blog, we write news and other stuff you may want to know, for example when new footage is available. Obviously we’ll continue to write on this forum, to provide better access to you and a place to discuss and receive your precious feedback.
From the upper bar you can enter all the three main sections: the bestiary, the armoury and the textures’ page. It’s an ongoing project yet, but we’ll constantly fill all the missing parts as we go.
As you will discover soon, our intentions was to offer something more of a gallery, in fact you’ll find many useful informations about quake in it, just to be more organic and build a bit of context for our work.
Then, for those of you that need help on configuring the game to run our content, we have prompted a tech-guide with all you need to know.
Remember: these are merely our recommendations, you are free to do otherwise and run the content with other engines as well (we’ll report which ones we have tested).
Actually we’re working on all the three project but we’ll finalize and release the skins before anything else.
This is a great moment for quake, it seems that more and more gamers are returning to enjoy this classic and also to produce new content.
You can already find very good skins out there so we’ll try to find our place creating something with a personal touch.
You've seen a few example of our work and now it's time to unveil the best ones Ogre, Chthon and Shub are yet to show themselves

the site looks awesome! I'm glad you guys all teamed up. just a suggestion as far as the modified weapons go for DOE, I suggest you make ones for Plagues Pak as well. as it is still the most used to this day

Thx a lot LockNLoad, finally we finished the site, and over time will add many more sections and news, maybe one every two or three days. Thx a lot to Quakeone.com & Baker for the wonderful community and moral support for the project. Over time we will always try to do better and add new things to the site, perhaps with other projects...

Is it GPL or not? Your license terms are very unclear and apparently non-free.
The navigation bar is broken in Opera (looks like some margin/padding thing) and the bold & cursive text is very hard to read. Otherwise the site looks absolutely gorgeous.

Hi there Spirit,
it wasn’t intentional but we had little time to discuss about which license better suit us, so we gave a brief reading to GPL and others, and temporarily chosen the former.
GPL appears to work very well for software and documentation, but we was unsure for art and entertainment works (and educational works, as stated in the GPL guide), while CC (creative commons) seems good mainly for its modularity, in fact creators may choose a set of conditions they wish to apply to their work. In any case, be sure that we’ll clarify everything before releasing.

Please don't use Creative Commons in the Quake "universe".
Everything else that has a liberal use license like the Quake engine, QuakeC, the map sources and even Nexuiz and Open Arena (the whole contents) are GPL.
It would be better to have "ask us for permission first" or "don't reuse the work without permission" than weird up the various licenses in Quake.
The Creative Commons has nightmarish like flaws and was the brain-child of a well-meaning, but misguided, philanthropist who didn't think ahead to the various implications of the license. The Creative Commons isn't even compatible with its own various different versions, either by version number or the various add-on conditions.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
