    ow in my post i was put screens of first version of grunt... modificated by me. gonna put it in other threat with some other version of ogre and zombie but first must found it on my disk

    Hey osjclatchford, you should start a thread for "Reforged Alternative Skins" in general, and state in the first post that all modified Reforged Skins can be posted there. This would prevent a hundred different threads for modified Reforged skins, therefore making it difficult to find the original. I have a few skins I can put in such a thread myself that I haven't wanted to start a new thread for.

    It doesn't seem rude to me...
    We had already expressed our position on the topic in the past, but to avoid confusion: feel free to make your modified version and post it in a new thread.
    If you think that we should edit the skin by ourselves, I don't see why not, we did it several times for other monsters.

    Ok, probably just being rude here but, I'm just going to ask anyway; would you guys on the QRF team be against me uploading a version of these two head skins (h_knight/h_hellkn) that I altered to include added neck-gore?

    I'd totally understand If you'd prefer not, this work must be your pride and joy and me messing with it is probably not favourable in the least, but if you never ask you never know, eh..?

    doesn't look like charred though just artificial black like when a picture doesn't have a background.... it would have sinewy looking parts with some parts black and others lighter colors....

    Being black kinda makes sense- I mean, the part DID get separated by a fiery explosion after all, so the effect would be pretty charred.

    Yeah, not to jump the gun on the team but, I think you'll find thats the finished product now. It matches with the neck on the full model (just black at the join) Its a lot less noticable on the dp engine with rt lights on 'n' stuff (because of the shadows everywhere) but for those without its a little more obvious.
    I thought the same thing about the h_shams but when I edited it to include more blood on the neck, I found it quite tricky to get the balance between showing enough blood and showing enough white-skin...

    I finally got to try out the new head gibs, and they still have some major issues. Many of them are missing parts of the skin. Take the Hell Knight skin in this screenshot for example. The skin is just black where the bloody neck should be:



    The Knight Head gib also has the same issue.

    Hmm, running through the list all the (compulsory) we have remaining are:

    The Armagon Enemies (Centroid, Gremlin, Floating Mine and the Finished Armagon himself (all should be interesting!)

    From DIS:
    The Dragon, Eel, Floating Sword, ALt Ogre/Tarbaby/Lavaman and the Wraith/Overlord.
    The ones I assumed would be the most difficult to do are already done!

    Yes thanks. I edited 'reforged.shader', changed 'tarbabyh' to 'tarbaby' and it's working.

    The typo was in the shader (not the skin files !) I downloaded from Reforged yesterday.
    Please check again all tarbaby´s positions in the shader. There are different ones.
    Also not only the .mdl, but the skin shader positions as well.

    TIP2: Start a map with tarbabies (just like E4M5) and read the console failure note !
    Here you will see the typo. Then you are able to find it for sure.
