    • Hah I knew it that it wouldn't be the end. I mean common - promised is promised I just downloaded the pack and I freaking love it. Superb work you have done with this project so far. Just two things:

      1. I installed the pack as described, but at the map E4M5, the tarbabies are without texture, just plain. I think this could be solved easily.

      2. The headgibs need more blood n gore. The grunts head is without any blood form me. I have to say that's bitching at highest niveau from my side as I want to say. You did an awesome job - I salute you.

      Oh and thank you for the milky rotfish eyes as proposed it in the forum earlier. It looks so deadly fishy I love it.

      You brought us back the best Quake of the Quake series, better than never before.

        • Whoa- this now means that Quake is now completely beautifulized!
          It feels like playing a whole new game now! (all I need is to look up how to get the invisible torches and to get the proper lava lighting going!)

            I concur. Some of the current head gibs simply look like a copy/paste of the original head, with no modifications. They definitely need more blood!

            Question for Alfader and Nergal: I modified the Chthon skin to have colors more true to the original (red instead of black). Do you guys mind if I upload this alternative version in a new thread?

            • Great freakin' news, thanks for making my Quake experience complete, downloaded the big pack. I must say, the new skins look awesome. I agree with the others that some of the head gibs lack blood. It would be nice to see that changed. Also while i like most of the official skins, some of them like the scrag, shubbie, and zombie, i like the old alternative skins a lot more, since they are more true to the original. And i am still hoping for a Reforged furry shambler.

              Anyway, keep up the good work, can't wait to see what you guys come up next.

              • As I have seen, you still can download the alternative skins - just download em and install them over the packs skins. That should do the job.

                  Its simply a typo in the shader.
                  Remove the "h" behind tarbaby and it works.

                  lol. Then you should not have any issues CarVio.
                  The typo was in the shader (not the skin files !) I downloaded from Reforged yesterday.
                  Please check again all tarbaby´s positions in the shader. There are different ones.
                  Also not only the .mdl, but the skin shader positions as well.

                  TIP2: Start a map with tarbabies (just like E4M5) and read the console failure note !
                  Here you will see the typo. Then you are able to find it for sure.

                        What i was trying to point out, i was obviously not clear enough for you, that i like some alternative skins more then official skins, nothing more nothing less. I know i can download them

                              amarzing!

                              supreme work as usual and the animated shub/chton are indeed sexie, if not a little long to load (seriously it was four full minutes to load house of chton last night!) but its WELL worth the wait.

                              the much awaited ogre does not dissapoint either.

                              Oh and I'll guess we can forget about my headgibs eh?

                              great stuff.

                              oh, just one query, does anyone know a way to make chthons animations a little faster as the map is almost over by the time he has changed from black to glowy and it just seems like a shame to miss all that lovely detail..?
                              Just my two pennith, I know, but theres no acounting for taste eh?

                                Chthon´s shader is also in my opinion too slow. So i made it faster changing.
                                Its all done by editing his AnimMap frequency.
                                I set it to 0.3.
